Local streetband the Peace Artistes are organising HONK! Bradford, a new streetband festival involving bands from Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Australia, the US and across the UK.
As part of the festival, a brand new HONK! Band will come together with up to 100 players, led by Ken Field from HONK! Boston.

Who can join?
Anyone aged 18 or over who plays a musical instrument.
We expect you to have played regularly, or have had lessons. Anyone looking to join the drum and percussion section can be a complete beginner.
Instruments
Ideally you will have your own instrument. We will be able to provide some drums and percussion instruments.
Music
The HONK! Band will play 6 tunes, including the HONK! Bradford song. Music for all the pieces is on the website here.
Rehearsals
There will be 6 rehearsals in September 2025 leading up to HONK! See below for dates and times.
Performance
The HONK! Band will perform in City Park on Saturday 27th September, along with 16 streetbands from the UK, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and the US.
Is there a cost to take part?
No, being in the HONK! Band is free. Sadly we are not able to pay any expenses but we will provide a meal on Saturday 27th and a free ticket for the HONK! Bandslam on Saturday evening at the Bradford Hotel.
